Playscapes at Harewood House

The breathtaking grounds of Harewood House have been brought to life with one of our ever popular Loose Parts Play installations this summer!

Part of a growing portfolio of Playscapes, Loose Parts Play enables visitors young and old to explore, create, and work together to create imaginary worlds using their bodies and minds in playful ways.

The Playscape at Harewood House has been designed to add a rich layer of creative joy to their summer programme, connecting visitors with the landscape and gardens of this beautiful historic setting.

Audiences are invited to let their imaginations run wild and can return again and again to see what new stories and games they can imagine with the loose play elements on each visit!

Opening weekend also saw audiences exploring our giant marble run, amidst the joyful sounds of performance from Raggle Taggle Arts.

With over 100 acres of gardens to explore, Harewood House one of England’s 18th century Treasure Houses, partnering with them to engage their audience with playful ways to explore the natural world in which the house so boldly sits, is a true pleasure!

Running throughout the summer holidays, you can find our Playscapes alongside a Rope Maze and even the chance to get behind the wheel on a Mini Rover!

Open daily from 10am – 6pm until September.

If you would like to find out more about partnering with us to bring playful provocations, creative storytelling, and innovative installations to connect your audiences with the natural world, we would love to hear from you!
